Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB)
Last Updated: 5 November 2026

TNUSRB Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk & AR) 2025

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board issued Notification No. 01/2025 on 4 April 2025 for direct recruitment of Sub-Inspectors of Police (Taluk and Armed Reserve): men, women and transgender candidates. An addendum (No. 1A/2025, 31 October 2025) followed. It made the written examination common for open and departmental-quota candidates, after a Supreme Court order and two Home Department G.O.s. This page reflects the notification as amended by that addendum.

Status (5 November 2026): the written examination was held on 21 December 2025, and the 1:5 ratio result was published on 27 January 2026. TNUSRB then reported a software error in the departmental quota list and said a revised 1:5 result would be published. The SI-2025 section of tnusrb.tn.gov.in (homepage updated 1 November 2026) does not yet list a revised result or call letters for certificate verification and physical tests. No SI 2026 notification has been issued.
