3. Comprehensive Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For SI Civil Police & Platoon Commander: A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- For Fire Services Second Officer (FSSO): A Bachelor's Degree in Science from a recognized University.
Age Limit (As on 01 July of the recruitment year)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Relaxation: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories who are native domiciles of Uttar Pradesh get a mandatory 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit (i.e., up to 33 years). Ex-Servicemen get 3 years (+ military service rendered).

Stage 1: Online Written Examination (Computer Based Test)
The written exam consists of four major subjects. The paper contains 160 multiple-choice questions for 400 marks, with a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes).
