Frequently asked questions
How do I reduce a photo to 50–100 KB?
Select your photo above. The size target is already set, so the tool immediately produces a JPG between 50 KB and 100 KB and shows the exact size before you download.
Will the photo lose quality?
The tool keeps the highest JPG quality that still fits between 50 KB and 100 KB. Only if that isn't enough does it reduce the pixel dimensions, and it tells you when it does.
What if my photo is smaller than 50 KB?
Very small images can come out below 50 KB even at top quality. The tool then adds harmless padding inside the JPG file so it meets the minimum without changing the picture.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The resizing happens inside your browser and the image never leaves your device.
