4. Comprehensive Eligibility Criteria

For Paper II (Elementary Stage: Class VI to VIII)

Candidates are eligible if they meet any of the following parameters:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed in accordance with the NCTE rules.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

5. CTET Exam Pattern & Detailed Syllabus

The CTET consists entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be the most appropriate.

Paper I Structure (Primary Teachers)
