Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) July 2026

AIIMS New Delhi conducts INI-CET twice a year (January and July sessions) for admission to PG courses [MD/MS/M.Ch.(6years)/DM(6years)/MDS] at AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, PGIMER Chandigarh & SCTIMST Trivandrum.

1. Exam Configuration

• Registration Part 1 (Basic): Starts early March.
• EUC Code Generation: Mid-April.
• Final Registration: Completes late April.
• CBT Date: Generally held in May for the July session.

2. Test Blueprint

• Questions: 200 Objective Multiple-Choice Questions (Single Best Answer and Multiple True-False).
• Time Allocation: 3 hours (180 Minutes).
• Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, -1/3 for an incorrect answer. Zero for unattempted.

• The exam predominantly tests clinical skills, reasoning arrays, and theoretical bedrock in pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects.
• The emphasis heavily lies on repeat topics and previous year patterns (especially of AIIMS). Regular grand tests are highly recommended to balance the 180-minute time constraint.
