GMAC manages the NMAT exam, a vital computer-adaptive gateway for admission to NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) Mumbai and several other tier-one and tier-two B-schools in India and globally.
1. Flexible Testing Window
- Registrations: August – October 2025.
- Testing Window: Typically runs 70+ days from October to December 2025.
2. Core Structure
- Adaptive Nature: The test adapts to the test taker's performance. There is no negative marking, and you must review your answers before moving to the next section.
- Sections: Language Skills (36 Q, 28 Min), Quantitative Skills (36 Q, 52 Min), Logical Reasoning (36 Q, 40 Min).
- Total Duration: 120 Minutes.

4. Retake Policy
A candidate may try up to three times during a testing year (including the first attempt). A mandatory gap of 15 days is required between retakes. Note that NMIMS only considers the first attempt score for their premier programs, while other institutes might consider maximum scores.
