1. Exam Timeline
- Registration Begins: Mid-July 2025.
- Registration Ends: Last week of Nov 2025.
- Exam Date: January 04, 2026 (First Sunday of January).
2. Exam Pattern
The exam is divided into two distinct parts:
- Part 1: Verbal and Logical Ability (VALR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QADI).
- Part 2: General Knowledge (GK) and Analytical Essay Writing (AEW).
- Note: Part 2 scores (GK and Essay) are generally used only during the interview shortlisting stage, not for the percentile calculation.

4. Key Preparation Area: Decision Making (DM)
- Decision Making is unique to XAT. It presents business, ethical, and everyday scenarios requiring candidates to choose the most mathematically logical, ethically sound, or business-optimal outcome.
- Solving the last 10 years of XAT papers is the absolute best way to prepare for the DM section.
