3. Strict Eligibility & Nationality Mandates

A. Nationality & Citizenship

• No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing, be appointed or employed.
• Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment of subjects of Nepal or Bhutan possessing a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. of India.
• Note: There are strictly no separate quotas for NRI or OCI candidates.

B. Age Limit & Cutoff Benchmark

• Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as on August 1, 2026 (i.e., born not earlier than August 2, 2001 and not later than August 1, 2006).
