ICAI says candidates upload or change the photo and signature on the Self Service Portal (SSP, eservices.icai.org) before filling the exam form, if the latest ones are missing or not of acceptable quality for printing on marksheets. The upload happens on the SSP profile, not inside the exam form itself.
The photo size is stated as '4.5 cm by 3.5 cm' (height by width); the tool treats it as 3.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm tall (portrait).
Photograph rules
- Coloured or black/white photo with 80% of the face (without face mask) visible, including ears, against a white background.
- Clear contrast; background must be white and clearly visible.
- Straight-looking relaxed face; no red-eye if flash is used.
- No caps or goggles (spectacles allowed); religious headwear allowed if it does not cover the face.
- No selfies.
- Scan well cropped, with no extra white space.
