5. Complete Examination Pattern

The HPSC HCS selection process consists of three sequential elimination and ranking stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (200 Marks — Objective OMR)

The preliminary examination serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the Mains in a ratio of 12 times the advertised vacancies.

Mandatory Rules:
