2. Selection Process
The selection process involves three main stages:
- Preliminary Examination: Objective tests (English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability). 100 marks, 1 hour.
- Main Examination: Objective tests (Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, Numerical Ability). 200 marks, 135 minutes.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): The candidate must be proficient in the official/local language of the state they have applied for.
3. Salary
The starting basic pay is ₹20,700 per month, with the gross monthly emoluments approximately ₹47,849 (including allowances like DA, HRA, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, etc.).

5. Preparation Strategy
- Quantitative Aptitude: Clear basics first, then focus on Data Interpretation (DI) and arithmetic word problems. Speed is vital for Prelims.
- Reasoning Ability: Practice puzzles and seating arrangement questions. Use sectional mocks.
- English Language: Reading comprehension, error spotting, and vocabulary. Read daily editorials.
- General Awareness: Focus on Current Affairs (last 6 months), Banking Awareness, and basic static GK. Follow daily updates.
- Computer Knowledge: Basics of hardware, software, MS Office, internet, and networking.
